Operating an ethical business in the energy industry offering products and services that not only provide value for money and customers are valued at the foundation of their business and that relationship is based on principles of respect and mutual benefit.

It was our objective to show this in our creative work for the company.

Our creative approach

Alongside the logo design and brand materials creation, Crown asked us to help with showing how the company is an outstanding place to work where people are inspired to be the best they can be. With this in mind, Crown were keen to create illustrated avatars for their staff and directors.

This enabled customers to associate with the flexible approach to each business customer as they know each customer has their own individual requirements.

To ensure the longevity of the company through repeat and referral business achieved by customer satisfaction in all areas including product quality, attention to detail and service-minded attitudes. The brand design centred around these avatars, we created individual ‘mug’ shots with each member of staff having their own mug with their face on it to further personalise the creative.

The aim was that customers would be able to relate to the person that was managing their account.

Results and impact

The new creative direction successfully expressed Crown Gas and Power’s personality, values and customer-focused ethos. By foregrounding the people behind the brand, the work helped strengthen emotional connection, trust and relatability between account managers and customers. The illustrated avatars and branded assets supported internal culture as well as external communications, reinforcing Crown as both a great place to work and a supplier businesses can rely on.
