We are Carbon Creative, an award-winning branding and digital agency, proudly marking 23 years in the industry.
Recently, we’ve made the exciting transition to become an employee-owned company. A creatively focused studio, we consider ourselves to be at the intersection of art, design, technology and sustainability.
Why Carbon?
I recently joined Carbon Creative and I’m so grateful to be part of the team! The people are lovely, my work is exciting and in a short space of time I’ve been made to feel so welcome. As a marketing and studio assistant, I get to be creative, strategic and organised – all of my favourtie things. I’m constantly learning which is amazing and I can’t wait to see how my role develops!
Also, as a painter outside of work, I love to see what the designers are up to!
Why Carbon?
I joined Carbon Creative as we share similar values. I’m all for sustainability and having a positive impact. Carbon got me into volunteering too, who’d have thought planting trees?was so fun? Also, helping out in a food shelter to help the people who need it. We have some great clients in a range of different industries so it’s always good to be able to assist them with their web development needs. Over the years I’ve been working here, I’ve come realise that I work with some truly talented people.
We’re based in Media City so there’s always something to do on dinner break – Kargo MKT has a vast selection of??????, there’s a 7 Brothers round the corner, Juicy IPA anyone ??
Why Carbon?
With too many things to mention, I’d say Carbon is the most positive and supportive place I’ve been a part of working for. The approachable leadership, training and learning opportunities along with the encouragement to progress and constantly develop new skills, has allowed me to come a very long way in the 6 years I’ve worked here. And when that’s reflected in the work that we produce, which at its core it’s aim is to create a positive change in the world and work with those that want the same, it’s hard to find many more rewarding things than that.

Carbon is a great company to work for. My role is a mixture of web design and traditional branding which means that on any given day I’m working on a real variety of projects. All our clients are involved in work with a strong social purpose that I feel pleased to be associated with. I’m encouraged to learn and challenge myself to provide the best possible solutions to our clients. As an employee owned company I’ve also been able to step up and become involved with a number of side projects to the benefit of the business and my own personal development.

We’re small but mighty and take on some amazing clients, winning and retaining them with our company ethics, Carbon values and the mix of personalities that create fantastic solutions that results in some insane work. I’ve been here since I left university and I’ll never take for granted the working environment we get to create in and it’s so exciting to be a part of an organisation always pushing for more and evolving with the times. Being part of an EOT is also such a privilege. It means we all have an opportunity to contribute to our growth and achieve our vision of being the go-to branding and digital studio for people who care about great design and the future of our world.

Hybrid working
In the wake of Covid-19 lockdowns, Carbon has continued to operate remote working days. Our current policy is two days working from our MediaCity office and three days working from home.
