30,000+ trees and counting. Carbon reduction, it’s in our name, it’s our nature.

We favour and support local sustainable charities and engage with community groups, schools and rangers to help source and locate managed planting areas. Our tree planting campaign helps neutralise emissions from our business activities, improve green spaces, boost health and wellbeing in the urban neighbourhoods around Salford and Greater Manchester, as well as tackle the climate and biodiversity emergency.

Trees are the carbon capture giants of the natural world, absorbing harmful CO2. While growing, a tree absorbs roughly 6-9 kg of CO2 per year. When mature, it absorbs around 21-22 kg per year. Over a 100-year lifespan, a tree can absorb about one tonne (1,000 kg) of CO2.

We would like to thank our friends at City of Trees, for their continual and brilliant support in making our local tree planting campaign possible.

Buy one, get one tree…

We believe in sustainable and ethical business, it’s something we’re very passionate about. We are fully committed to carbon reduction. It’s in our name, it’s in our DNA.

More than that though, we want to have a positive effect on our local environment. Since 2006 we’ve been planting trees, working with community groups, local rangers and forestry charities to source local planting sites in managed areas.

Work, rest, play, and doing it our way…

The same innovative thinking that goes into our creative services also goes into our outreach activities.

We endeavour to create a culture within Carbon Creative that encourages volunteering and giving back.

This includes donating our time to supporting local and national charities with pro-bono creative campaigns, operational activities or both.

One example of this is our work for Salford Food Bank, where we developed ‘The Food Gift Box’ campaign and website. An innovative project to create a network of branded food collection boxes, hosted and maintained by local residents across Salford, and now Rochdale too.

The project has raised over 13 tonnes of food and significantly raised the profile of the charity.
