Congratulations to Kate and Tom M of our design agency on their efforts at the Great Manchester Cycle.

The event which took place on Sunday 30th June 2013, is a unique urban based mass participation cycle event. The event offers 3 different distances for cyclists of all abilities, using a 13 mile City based circuit within Manchester and the neighbouring borough of Trafford which is completely closed to all other vehicles. The starting point for Kate and Tom was at the Etihad Campus before heading off on two laps of the circuit making the total distance for both 26 miles.

Kate and Tom both posted very admirable times with Kate coming in at 1h 50 mins and Tom crossing the finish line in a very impressive 1h 31 mins.

Kate also recently cycled from Salford to Oxford as part of a charity ride with the Salford Angels WI who hope to raise £3000 for local good causes by the end of the year and with two other members of the team (Dave C and Dave A) recently taking advantage of the bike to work scheme we’ve definitely embraced the concept of leaving the car at home and using pedal power to get to work (weather permitting of course!).
