We have purchased 1000 trees for this weekends nationwide Tree O'Clock event.
Tree O'Clock is a very special event organised by BBC Breathing Places as part of National Tree Week. The aim is to set a new Guinness World Record for planting the most trees in one hour in multiple locations.
The event on Saturday 5th of December 2009 has a target to plant a million trees nationwide within 1 hour between 11am and 12 noon.
We are thrilled to be taking part in this record breaking attempt. Trees will be planted in various parks around Salford including Clifton Country Park, Black Leach County Park and Winton Park. We've had fantastic support from Salford City Council rangers and with an army of volunteers we really hope to help contribute towards such a worthy new Guinness World Record.
