With regular buses stopping near Outwood Park and a car park this is an ideal place to start your visit. A short walk along the Outwood Trail brings you to an entrance to Hurst Wood. Alternatively on foot from Whitefield a short walk down Copper Lane (no vehicle access) brings you to Hurst Wood.
